I know that there are always 2 primary questions when it comes to providing a surveying quote. They are how much and how fast? The answer depends on many factors.
If you thumb through the phone book you will see that there are several surveying firms. They should all be giving you a cost and timing based on a best case scenario for your particular survey.
Pricing for a survey services can range greatly. Does the survey need to be recorded? Has the surveyor who is providing you a quote surveyed in the same area previously? The type of property description, location, access and existing survey monuments to name a few other items all affect cost.
Timing is affected by the same factors. When you are dealing with ALTA surveys title reports have a tendency to drag a project down. Generally timing is around 10 days from the time we receive a title report or better.
Each case is unique and presents its own set of circumstances.
